Upcoming Enrollment.

Newborn screening programs in seven initial states and territories (hereafter referred to collectively as “states”) have been selected to participate in BRIDGES-NBS. The states are: Iowa, Minnesota, New York, Oregon, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, and Texas. These programs were selected after an extensive review process. They have varied prior experiences in genomic screening, and represent a broad range of geographic regions. Additional states may join in future phases.

Participant enrollment will start after community and ethical review processes are complete. Participation in BRIDGES-NBS is voluntary, consented, and separate from routine newborn screening. Routine newborn screening remains unchanged whether or not families participate in BRIDGES-NBS.
